NAHB International Builders' Show and KBIS Recap
The end of February welcomed a surge in new home sales in both our Greenville and Wilmington markets, as well as an opportunity to visit the NAHB International Builders' Show in Las Vegas, NV. The show welcomed nearly 70,000 visitors and industry professionals from over 100 countries. Combined with the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), this weeklong event showcased the latest industry products, trends, technologies, and business advise from hundreds of exhibitors.
As our team navigated the multiple halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, we were able to explore new products from our current industry partners as well as gain exposure to companies that we may not have seen before.
There were some recognizable names and faces that we're accustomed to seeing in our homes, such as Shea McGee who was representing her Kohler X Studio McGee line of fixtures. Hearing her describe her design process, as well as the thought and care she put into her collaboration, was very cool to witness.
It is always fun to see the latest and greatest finishes as the trends continue to change. One big takeaway was the incorporation of curved lines, getting back to some of the mid-century styling with a modern twist. We also saw a much larger representation of natural wood tones and deeper more saturated colors being used in very unique ways.
Throw in a little sightseeing along the Las Vegas strip, some great food with great people, and information overload from all the new things we've seen, we're ready to take on the rest of 2024 better than ever!
