Landscaping Checklist
Landscaping your home can be tedious if you are unsure where to begin. This essential landscaping checklist will help you design your yard and keep it in excellent shape to make the most of your investment.
1) Build a Plan
Preparing a plan for your landscape helps keep you within your budget, establish goals, and find suitable plants and trees for your yard. Planning out your landscape will ultimately maintain organization.
2) Make a Wish List
The wish list is the central part of your landscaping plan. The wish list is where you list out plants, flowers, trees, and accessories that you want to see in your yard. The wish list is a great guide to utilize when you are plant shopping.
3) Choose Your Landscaping Style
There are several different landscaping styles, but it is always best to choose the one that compliments the style of your home. The colors, texture, and placement of your landscaping all help create a tone for your household.
4) Buy the Right Plants
Choose plants that are best suited for your area's climate. When determining which plants to get, you should consider where they will be placed in your yard and how much sunlight they will or will not get. Native plants are highly successful for landscaping because they are already adapted to the climate.
