North Carolina STARS Awards Winners

The North Carolina Home Builders Association presented the 2021 STARS Awards Gala on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Omni Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, NC. These annual awards are a focal point for the Home Building industry across the entire state of North Carolina and honor the achievements of industry professionals. Winners receive recognition in marketing and advertising, web design, sales/information center, landscape design, interior merchandising, architecture/floor plan, remodeling/renovation, and special projects. The team at Bill Clark Homes is proud to announce being honored with two of these impressive awards!

Our newly award-winning Montgomery Home Plan at Salters Haven is full of wide-open spaces bathed in natural light, which fit nicely with the study and extra room tucked away for those vital quiet moments. This floor plan is a true entertainer's dream both inside and out, with luxury at every turn. When deciding on the interior design and staging, we recognized the home's coastal location and capitalized on it. Our designers aspired to create a home and aesthetic that lived up to the community's lifestyle; waterfront living in coastal Carolina. A community situated on the Intracoastal Waterway in Hampstead, NC, Salters Haven is a home buyer's path to a seaside active yet serene life. The neighborhood features an impressive waterfront clubhouse overlooking Lea Marina, a resort-style pool, and a private marina spanning to the Intercoastal. Residents can keep their boats at this marina, drive their golf carts around the neighborhood, and take a short drive to the beach. 

Our Legacy brand's mission is to build distinctive homes with our clients' lifestyles in mind. 

The Montgomery in Salters Haven achieves everything our ideal client desires. Each piece of furniture and décor was selected and installed by our in-house interior designer and staging specialist, Courtney Salyer. She used a coastal palette with a neutral backdrop that borrows colors from the sand, surf, and shells. The nautical décor is crafted from natural fibers and organic materials. Wicker, rattan, and natural wood accents are used throughout while keeping the entire space light and breezy.

To be awarded for both BillClarkHomes.com and LegacyHomesByBillClark.com on a state-wide level is a testament to our dedication to customer experience. We worked with Builder Designs to craft websites that are simple, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to navigate. We want every step of our customer's process with us to be as enjoyable as possible—including the research stage!

In 2020, we completed the launch of our new websites. We hold two different domains, one for Bill Clark Homes and one for Legacy Homes, connecting in several sections on each site. This keeps our brand consistent yet separate. We wanted one place for users to go while still seeing a difference when toggling back and forth between each site. The requirement for this variation came from how we want to represent the character of our Bill Clark product compared to our Legacy product. We chose to make the design aspects for both sites very similar while still highly idiosyncratic to each product line. The design needed to be harmonious and individual. For our website purpose, we kept the design aspects and the user experience equal in importance. A genuinely excellent website should make the users' experience as seamless as possible while still contributing to their emotions. Emotion is the most significant power in sales. We impacted emotion with video and photo quality and aesthetics.

Both header videos mix lifestyle videography and authentic imagery of our homes. We needed to capture the "feel" of living in a Bill Clark or Legacy community. Keeping our target audiences in mind for each brand, we wanted to convey quality and timelessness while appealing to potential homeowners with varying tastes and lifestyles. So simple design choices, like color block opacity, mixing tradition and modern typefaces, and advanced functionality blended with classic imagery, kept the balance and represented this heritage company and its versatility.
